One Chance
Written by: Michael Goldade Jr. & Kristi LaRae

Verse 1:

It wasn’t very long ago when I was only ten
Sitting with my grandma when she closed her eyes and then
She took my hand, kissed my cheek, got down on her knees
And as I watched her body tremble, she said these words to me

CHORUS:

When you get that one chance be sure to take it
When you find that true love, make sure it lasts
When you have that one dream, go out and chase it
And try not to make the same mistakes
That I made in my younger days

Verse 2:

It took some time to understand what she meant that day
I was just too young to realize why she felt that way
But then one day I learned the truth of what was in her past
And the words that grandma said to me all made sense at last

CHORUS:

When you get that one chance be sure to take it
When you find that true love, make sure it lasts
When you have that one dream, go out and chase it
And try not to make the same mistakes
That I made in my younger days

REPEAT CHORUS
